Dear 5th Grade Buddies, We saw the huge bus you took to get to DC. That looked like fun! We looked up Washington DC on the map. Wow, you are far away!! We cant wait until we can go to Washington just like you. We hope you have a great trip and learn a lot. We miss you. Love, Your Kindergarten Buddies
Did you know that Washington,DC covers 68 square miles. It was built on land that was originally part of Maryland and Virginia. The city is divided into four quadrants, or sections:Northwest,Southwest,Northeast and Southeast. The U.S. Capitol building marks the center of the city and is were the four quadrants meet.
Hope you all have a great trip! Can't wait to see your pics!
